About HUDL

As we celebrate our 2 year anniversary in October 2022, we realize that our dream has come to fruition.  HUDL, a place to HUDL UP with your friends and family and drink incredible craft beer.  What a wild ride it has been to open and thrive in this business during a pandemic no one could have predicted.  We couldn't have done it without our staff, vendors, and incredible customers.   Cheers to all of you and we hope to continue to bring you great beer that keeps you coming back for more.

  • Skip Norfolk (Co-Founder)

Back in the 90’s when the Craft Beer scene was starting, Skip was “wrenching” (Crew Chief) in the sport of Supercross and Motocross. (Supercross is dirt bike racing in major stadiums around the country, Motocross is closed course off-road motorcycle racing). Skip was an integral part of 5 national titles, 1 world title (American Honda Racing) and 2 regional (Peak Pro Circuit Racing) “I was fortunate to be around some amazing individuals and teams.

When the 2000’s rolled around the Craft Beer scene in SoCal was taking off, he was all in for Craft Beer, so much so that he started home brewing with his buddies. He spent the next two decades in the action sport industry, where he developed technical Competition Racing Products for Motocross, Supercross, and Auto Racing. Most recently Skip was Race Director for the Traders Racing / Club MX Racing Team, where he was able to play in the dirt with kids every day.

  • Ken "Coop" Cooper (Co-Founder)

Born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado and the 12th of 13 siblings, he is a transplant to the Vegas area. Ken valiantly served our country for 21 years in the United States Navy as a Field Medical Corpsman, of which 18 years were assigned the Marines and he finished up his career with the 1st Battalion, 5th Marines out of Camp Pendleton. • Joe Cuozzo (BrewMaster)

In 2002, driven to become one of the best brewers in the world, Joe again found himself as a head brewer in the growing SD craft beer market. Joe would enter and win multiple GABF medals and a world beer cup gold medal. During this time, he restarted the SD Brewers Guild (2002-2005). Working with the American Brewers Guild, he took on apprentices, who now have become medal winning brewers and successful brewery owners. From 2002 – 2018 he was instrumental in building the culture and marketing programs for all the SD local breweries as well as getting multiple start up breweries running around the country. Joe continued to brew medal winning beers and introducing many “best practices” that are now commonplace in successful breweries.

In 2006, Joe started calling Las Vegas “home”. He is continuing his life’s work as a craft brewer and expanding the craft beer culture as HUDL’s BrewMaster.

  • Ashley Navarrete (Brewer)

Ashley was born in San Diego, raised in Los Angeles and attended college at Humboldt State University, where her passion for beer and brewing was discovered. She is the oldest of five kids, loves to read, cook, keep reptiles and try new beers. Her favorite styles to brew are stouts and lagers. She looks forward to hanging out in the taproom and sharing beers with friendly faces!

  • Lynn Mendre (Outside Sales)

Lynn grew up in Vegas since age 1. Her first beer job was at Der Baron’s in the Meadows Mall starting in high school in the late 80’s where she started her love for Belgians and stouts. She spent time in Minneapolis, Chicago, and San Francisco until moving back to Vegas and getting paid to be (working) at the Double Down Saloon and meeting her husband of over 20 years and starting their family in Downtown Las Vegas. Lynn has been in the service industry for 25+ years and has worked in beer programs at Todd English Pub, bBd’s, Pub 365, and Beerhaus before joining the team at HUDL. She is a member of Pink Boots Las Vegas chapter and an avid can art nerd. She has studied for Certified Cicerone,  but hasn’t passed the written test. Looking for a new study buddy! Beers that are always Lynn’s top 5 are St Bernardus ABT 12, Able Baker Chris Kael Impale’d Ale, and of course HUDL Salty Swabber! Her daughter Sage is definitely going to be a sour drinker, you know, when she’s 21! In the meantime, Lynn will keep visiting her at school in Portland and telling her to “try this”!
